End of AA2A Residency at Nottingham Trent University

AA2A Residency Work-in-Progress

This is one of 3 final pieces I made during my stay at Nottingham Trent University. I would like to thank all the people who helped me during these six month at the university.

It is yet a again a conversation. This time a very intimate one with Francesca, my girlfriend. In this project I have tried to experiment with time, not using long exposure, but trying to convey a sense of time and narrative, through the sequencing of images, rather than capturing a portion of time on a film.

The pictures were taken in a Regency townhouse basement at No.10 in Brunswick Square in Brighton. This venue belongs to the Regency Townhouse Trust and was last inhabited by women who worked for a vicar’s retirement home. The place is dark and cold; and little has changed since it was built. The original layout is intact and many features have remained undisturbed, including a walk-in meat safe where these images were taken.
